St Andrew's Day 2025: The Eton Wall GameAfter 14 years of College domination on St Andrew's Day, the Oppidans finally turned the tide. This year, in place of the usual war of attrition ending in a scoreless draw, a well-drilled Oppidan team brought fearsome intensity and an open style of play rarely seen in the modern era. And there was no stopping them, though the Collegers, physically smaller but equal in fighting spirit, fought tooth and nail to keep them out.The result was a well-earned 4-0 victory for the Oppidans, which included - according to some observers - one of the closest attempts at scoring an actual 5-point goal seen since the last one was scored in 1909.
