The Founder's Feast
Timbralls Sock Supper
A sumptuous feast, beautifully prepared by Louise and Bertha, with top-notch guests, some zinging speeches which stayed just on the right side of the line, and hilarious entertainment to follow, including a lavish Harry Potter adaptation, a Granddad song from James B, and Obum's jazz send-ups providing the highlight of the night.
CCF Passing Out
Congratulations to the five CCF cadets who passed out this week. It is heartening to know that the TDF (Timbralls Defence Force) is in such fine shape. Indeed, the camouflage of one cadet was so good that he is impossible to spot in the photos.
Moustache Madness
Mauvember
Whether the moustache is ready for a come-back (other than for musketeers and dictators) remains doubtful, but The Timbralls quartet made a strong case for the return of the oral equivalent of the circumflex accent - just as long as it's only for one month a year.
Michaelmas heat-wave
The First Morning
This was breakfast on the first full day of the Half, which also happened to be the hottest day of the year. E block set a fine example with their early rising. As for the new boys, it helps that WING's F-blockers are clearly a cheerful and resilient bunch, who are already shaping up to be an excellent year-group. Still one boy missing today, so more photos to come anon.
